Easy White Water Rafting on Dunajec: Your Adventure in Pieniny

Discover Pieniny from the Dunajec River

Exchange dry land for a raft and join us us for a rafting trip in Pieniny along the most beautiful river in the north of Slovakia. Our trip begins near the ancient walls of Červený Kláštor (Red Monastery), the home of the legendary flying monk Cyprián. Get ready because right here, at the threshold of the Pieniny National Park, the word “freedom” takes on a whole new dimension.

We will float under the majestic Tri Koruny (Three Crowns), the symbol of the entire Zamagurie region, and enter deep into the canyon. Gazing up at the steep limestone cliffs reaching hundreds of meters above your head, you will understand the power of nature that has shaped this canyon over thousands of years.

What awaits you on this trip?

  • Authentic experiences: You will be guided by a native of the Spiš region who knows every corner of this area. You will learn real stories about Gorals, the river, and life in the Pieniny Mountains.
  • Adventure for everyone: Whether you are an experienced paddler or holding a paddle for the first time, you will easily manage this trip. Thanks to the low difficulty level and instructions from our professional guide, families and groups of friends will enjoy the ride.
  • Adventure rafting: While enjoying rafting, you will discover the icons of Zamagurie from a completely different perspective. You’ll enjoy views of Červený Kláštor, the majestic Tri Koruny, and a journey through the rugged and picturesque Dunajec Gorge.
  • Full equipment: Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We will provide you with complete equipment – from certified life jackets and helmets to neoprene clothing for colder spring days.

Rafting through the Dunajec Gorge: Front-Row Views

We will venture right into the heart of the Pieniny National Park – the Dunajec Gorge. Here, the river flows calmly, meandering through bends that gradually reveal new scenery before your eyes. Along the way, we will see the towering Svinia skala (Pig Rock), which reportedly got its name when a wild boar fell from it into the river. However, other sources claim that rafters gave it this derogatory name because of the difficult passage around it.

You will know the end of our joirney is approaching when we get to the Seven Monks. According to legend, these rock towers are monks from Červený Kláštor (Red Monastery) who were turned to stone as punishment and still guard the peaceful waters of the Dunajec to this day. Our rafting trip will end in the village of Lesnica, from where, after a day full of adventures, you will be comfortably transported to the hotel.

Adventoura Tip

Do you feel like moving a bit? You can make the journey back on a rented bicycle. The cycle path that lines the river will show you the canyon from a completely new, but equally fascinating perspective.

Carefree Rafting: We Will Take Care of the Equipment

You don’t need any special equipment or paddling experience. Your safety and comfort are our top priority, so we will provide everything you need:

  • Safety first: Every participant receives a certified life jacket and helmet. In addition, each boat is accompanied by a professional instructor who ensures your safety, so you can enjoy rafting without any stress.
  • Stay warm even in colder weather: The Dunajec river can be chilly in spring, but we are prepared for that. If temperatures drop, we’ll provide you with wetsuits to keep you warm and dry.
  • What to bring: During the summer months, all you need are sandals, a T-shirt, and a hat to protect you from the sun. We will take care of the rest.
